According to a new national survey done by
McMaster University, forty-seven million American
workers experience physical or psychological
aggression while on the job.
The survey reveals that more than 40 million
American workers reported being the victims of
psychological aggression including being yelled at,
insulted, or threatened with physical violence.
Approximately six percent of survey respondents
stated that they have been the victim of on-the-job
physical violence--enduring kicks, slaps, or attacks
with a weapon while on the clock. Ninety-six percent
of those who suffered physical violence also
experienced some form of psychological abuse.
Similarly, in 2005 Human Resource news reported
that more than 16,000 threats are made at worksites
every workday and 13 people die through workplace
violence each week. The fact that such a large
percentage of the American population continues to
experience workplace violence shows the need to
address it. Recognizing workplace violence as a
growing national concern, USABackgroundsearch.com
is pleased to offer a variety of solutions through
background screening and drug testing services,
